Clohars Carnoët market

Every week, three markets are held in the commune: Place de la Mairie every Saturday, Place de l’Océan in Le Pouldu every Wednesday and Rue des Grands Sables every Sunday evening. This night market is only held during the summer season.

Clohars-Carnoët Saturday market

When the fine weather arrives, you’ll find around thirty traders on the church forecourt. During the other seasons, the Saturday market is held in the Place de la Mairie and around the church, with around twenty vendors.

Wednesday morning market

The Wednesday morning market in Pouldu survives year-round thanks to a market gardener who caters to the needs of locals with fresh produce, even in bad weather. Occasionally, a cheese producer and a fruit merchant also come to sell their wares. On the other hand, during the summer months, some fifty traders offer all kinds of products (fish, honey, Breton cookies, plants, etc.) and articles (baskets, shoes, clothes, etc.).

Located 8 km from Clohars-Carnoët, Guidel’s markets are held on Fridays and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. around the church. In high season only, producers gather every Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m., a not-to-be-missed opportunity to treat yourself to local produce.

The Animal Park

Located in Pouldu, this Maison Musée is a chronological reconstruction, with supporting documentation, of the “Buvette de la Plage”. It bears witness to Paul Gauguin’s presence in Finistère. It also reveals the artistic movement of synthesism. In addition to the works of art, the room also houses period furniture.

How to get here by car

From the center of Clohars-Carnoët, take the D24 towards Le Pouldu Port. At the blue-and-white water tower traffic circle, turn right onto the D49 towards the beaches. The campsite entrance is on the right, between two houses. Parking available on arrival.

Coming to us by train or bus

Quimperlé railway station is about 15 minutes from the campsite. Buses from the TBK network serve Le Pouldu. Out of season and subject to availability, a Navette Maison can pick you up from the station (on request, to be arranged in advance).

Come to us by bike or on foot

On the GR34 or the Vélodyssée, the campsite is just 600 m from the beaches and coastal paths: an ideal place to take a break. When you arrive, we’ll welcome you at reception or at the bar to guide you and help you get your bearings.
