Around the campsite

Between beaches, paths and Breton horizons 🗺️

Le Pouldu, a destination to be experienced before you visit

Le Pouldu is a place to live before it is a destination. Here, you can discover Brittany at your own pace, first on foot, then as you please, between land and sea. From the campsite, many experiences begin without a car, and others are offered by the day, like wider interludes.

On foot or by bike from the campsite

The beaches of Le Pouldu: just 600 metres from the campsite, the beaches are the natural rhythm of the day. Les Grands Sables attracts families, Le Kérou attracts water-sports enthusiasts, while Bellangenet offers superb sunsets. All are accessible on foot, along quiet, pleasant paths.

The customs trail (GR34): The GR34 runs along the coast in the immediate vicinity of the campsite. It is ideal for both short and longer walks, between cliffs, discreet coves and panoramic ocean views.

Doëlan on foot: Many of our campers reach Doëlan on foot, following the coastal path. A beautiful day hike along the GR34, with a lunch break at the port before returning along the coast. A simple, authentic experience, and very representative of the spirit of the place.

Cross the Laïta with the ferryman: In season, a ferryman takes you across the Laïta in just a few minutes. On foot or by bike, it’s a gentle and original way to reach Guidel-Plages, its cycle paths and its other coastal ambiance, without having to get back in the car.

Surfing and water sports in Brittany

In the immediate vicinity of the campsite, a number of activities naturally round off your stay. The Kérou beach is home to a surf school, within easy walking distance. Skateparks are also available at Bellangenet and Guidel-Plages. The sailing school at Le Pouldu offers introductory courses and courses in sailing to the rhythm of the ocean. Activities to suit all tastes, weather conditions and energy levels.

Changing horizons in Clohars-Carnoët: between land and nature

Forêt domaniale de Carnoët: just a few minutes away by car, the Forêt domaniale de Carnoët offers a completely different setting. This vast wooded area is ideal for shady walks, mountain biking (accessible by bike from the campsite for the more courageous, or by car in just a few minutes) and cool-down breaks on warmer days.

Parc animalier du Quinquis: located in Clohars-Carnoët, the Parc animalier du Quinquis is a popular outing for families, especially those with young children. The park can be visited on foot for half a day.

Less than 30 minutes away: local nuggets

Pont-Aven: The famous city of painters, between galleries, river and artistic heritage.

Quimperlé: A town of character at the confluence of three rivers, with its historic center and waterfront paths.

Lorient: A city turned towards the sea, with the Cité de la Voile Éric Tabarly and, in August, the unique atmosphere of the Festival Interceltique.

The open sea: Groix Island: From the port of Lomener, some 20 minutes from the campsite, there are ferries that take you to Groix Island for the day.
Cycling, wild beaches and unspoilt nature offer a true island interlude, often cited as one of the best memories of a holiday.

Great walking and cycling escapades (45 minutes to 1h15)

Concarneau & Quimper: two emblematic towns in Southern Brittany, between ramparts, ports and historic heritage.

Pointe de la Torche: in windy or changeable weather, we sometimes advise our guests to take the road to Pointe de la Torche. Here, you don’t come for shelter, but to feel the force of the ocean and the elements. A powerful and memorable Breton experience.

Golfe du Morbihan: about an hour’s drive away, the Golfe du Morbihan offers a completely different face of Brittany, with inland seas, islands and sheltered harbors. A great day out to broaden your horizons.
